Happy Father’s Day, y’all!  Today is an extra special one, since my mom and dad retired this week after a nearly 40 year career.  I am so proud of them and everything they accomplished, and I can’t wait to see all of their adventures as they soak up island life now.  You better believe that I’m going to be visiting as often as I can!

Holla! It’s a No Sew Burlap Bunting

Did it surprise you to see a burlap bunting on my summer patio?  It surprised me, to be quite honest. I’m generally not a burlap gal – nor a bunting gal – and the fact that I incorporated it somewhere in my home threw me for a spin.  It just seemed to fit.

Now, I don’t believe that every single element in my home needs to be totally unexpected.  However, I do like to incorporate something unexpected into something that’s pretty traditional every single chance I get.  So, Holla!

No Sew Burlap Bunting

(Yes, our window is broken.)

No, I didn’t misspell ‘Hola’ as my bilingual son pointed out to me.  It really is supposed to say ‘Holla’ – as in, “Hey!  What’s up?”

Regardless of what the banner says, it was super easy to make.  Like use a glue gun and 15 minutes of your time easy.  Like that space needs something there and I don’t want to buy anything easy.  Like that party starts in 30 minutes and I need a banner STAT easy.  Here’s how I did it:
