Born With a Silver{plate} Spoon on my Wrist

by Lindsay Ballard on February 25, 2011 8 Comments

When I featured the vintage fork placecard holders last week, I thought they were just the coolest thing under the sun.  That is, until I saw this bracelet.  It’s a vintage spoon that’s been hammered flat and made into a bracelet.  I {love}.

Love Spoon Bracelet

I had to have it.  Immediately.  So, I bought myself a little something special – and at $16, it was the most inexpensive piece of jewelry I’ve bought for myself in a long time.  Mine is going to say ‘Carpe Diem,’ because man, do I ever need that reminder every single day.

Marry Me Vintage Place Setting

Hence my love affair with my new BEFF (Best Etsy Friend Forever), David @ Basilius Jones.  I’m not going to lie – David is beating the pulp out of your grandmother’s silverplate flatware.  But, wouldn’t your grandmother be so excited that he’s turning it into fresh works of art?  Mine would be!

The {now infamous} Fork Placecard Holders

I quickly became a fan of David’s on Facebook and starting gushing about him to everyone who would listen.  Why?  Because when I find a BEFF, I want everyone to know.

And now I’m gushing to you.  David is giving away one of his awesome spoon bracelets to one of his Facebook fans on March 5th.  Could it be you?  Sure, it could!  Just visit his Facebook page and click ‘Like.’  Maybe soon you and I will be BBFF – Best Bracelet Friends Forever.

Have a super weekend!

P.S. I have new sponsorship opportunities opening up on March 1st.  If you have a business or blog you’d like to advertise, please check out my sponsorship information and let me know if you have any questions!

My daughter was born on Leap Day…so next year will be her sweet sixteen (4th birthday)…and we’ve been thinking about doing a Mad Hatter Tea Party theme…I think she will LOVE these! We are just going to HAVE to find some old forks and make these for her party! Absolutely perfect!
