Giveaway: Shaw Floors/HGTV Home

As I’ve shown over the last few weeks, an area rug can be a great starting point when choosing a theme or colors for a room. I was so pleased with the way our room for the Shaw Floors/HGTV Home Bloggers Challenge turned out, and every bit of inspiration in that room was pulled from our Delilah rug.

Area rugs are so fun! Not only are they a source of inspiration, but they make the flooring you already have much more flexible. Layering in an area rug over a hard surface floor, or even over a neutral carpet, allows you to personalize a room with a pattern that can be easily changed as your design style evolves.

Y’all, I’m here to tell you that the HGTV Home line of Shaw area rugs are delicious. I can say that with all certainty, as I have worked with them, walked on them with bare feet, and even slept on them. Okay, not that last one, but they are so soft that I could have!  Each style comes in several different colorways, too, so I know there is something for everyone.

There are two collections within the HGTV Home line: Haven and Inspire

Haven
The global influenced Haven rug collection is made from Shaw’s recyclable EverTouch nylon, which can actually be recycled into a new rug once you are finished with it. This collection has both muted earth tones and bold jewel tones.

Inspire
The Inspire rug collection includes styles feature Shaw’s ClearTouch PET carpet fiber, some of which is made of recycled soda bottles.  These area rugs are muted neturals with pops of teal, green or purple.  They are young, modern and on-trend.  Some of my favorites in this collection are:

There are several different ways to enter this giveaway.  Please leave a separate comment for each way that you enter, and make sure you include your email address so I can contact you if you are the big winner.

  1. Visit the Shaw Floors website and select your favorite HGTV Home rug style and color.  Come back here and let me know in the comments what you fell in love with;
  2. “Like” Shaw Floors on Facebook.  I’m pretty sure you are going to need to do that in order to obsessively vote for our room to win the Bloggers Challenge in September, so you may as well go ahead and get ready;
  3. “Like” Living With Lindsay on Facebook.  Since you are already over there, you may as well!  If you are already a “liker,” just let me know that (and thank you!).

    I’m absolutely in love with that Ikat Panel rug! I’m moving back to the States after several years abroad, and I’m starting pretty much from scratch with decorating. That would make a fantastic centerpiece for my studio apartment!

    I love the Ikat and the Vintage bloom rugs, they are so pretty. What a nice give away. I would love to put a rug in my family room where there always seems to be people eating and getting stuff on my carpet. Anyway, thanks!

    I love the India in Spice! It would be perfect for my den. I just finished scraping the cottage cheese off the ceiling ,painted the walls a fresh new color got new slipcovers and re-purposed old accessories into new ones! Love my room now and really need a new rug.

    I have loved the Delilah rug since you first showed us! BEAUTIFUL! I have similar colors in my living room, so it really resonated with me. I also like the India and the Vintage Bloom in the ocean color.

    I think I would choose either the Loop De Loop in Dark Brown or the same Delilah rug you chose for your room. Either would fit into my living room beautifully!

    Hmmm, I can’t quite decide between the lighter Patina, the Darker Mia or the India with blue in it. But the blue in India is probably the wrong color for my light carribbean blue walls – which I love!

    Oh my gosh… I am so excited about this! I am not even kidding when I say that a few days ago when I was reading your post, I saved some of the pictures that you posted of the delilah rug and promised that once I saved up some money I was going to use it as a staple to start decorating my new (tiny and empty) townhome. I visited the Shaw website and am still in love with the Delilah rug, and excited that it comes in three colors. Oooooh. I hope your random number thingy picks me. 🙂

    My favorite is the Bazaar in the Lt. Multi color…it would go perfect in my bedroom because the colors match my bedspread and drapes and it would really perk up my dull cork floor (yes, it’s cork..ugh!).

    I love love love the India rug in the Spice color. I swear I’m a rug fanatic. I’d put that in my family room to coordinate with my paprika colored silk curtains!
    Also- there is a picture up of the room you designed over on the retro renovation site. It looks amazing! You could totally win that competition!!

    I really like the Bazaar rug for my moms house and the delilah in teal blue for my house. although it really would go well in my kitchen…i don’t think that would work..the Delilah in dark brown would go with my living room colors really well!
