{31 Days to an Eclectic Home} Day 16 – An Amazing Eclectic Makeover

by Lindsay Ballard on October 16, 2011 3 Comments

Today is Day 16 of a 31 day series on creating and cultivating an eclectic home.  For some crazy reason, I have accepted The Nester’s challenge to write on the same theme every day for the month of October.  This may end up killing me.  Or you.  But, I appreciate you reading and welcome your comments.

I know that there are many of you reading along with this 31 day series (We’ve past the mid-way mark! Booyah!) who want to make some changes in your decor but think your home is far too traditional for eclecticism.  I keep telling your it’s not, but you still feel nervous to jump in head first.

One of my favorite eclectic bloggers, Mandi at Vintage Revivals, has created proof that a traditional home can showcase eclecticism beautifully.  She transformed her friend’s living room from this…

…to this.

It’s hard to believe that it’s even the same room, isn’t it?  Mandi worked her magic on this room in just 2 1/2 weeks.  Hop on over to Vintage Revivals to check out the entire makeover.  I promise that you will be blown away.

No, really.  Go visit Mandi.  Why are you still reading this post?  🙂

Isn’t that room fantastic?! I think my favorite thing is the shelves she put in the wall opening! I love it!

Wow! I kept scrolling up, down, up, down. All I can say is that there IS hope for my living room!
