As a lover of all things Austin, I enjoy picking up the various local publications that we have available around town. There are some really fascinating and accomplished people who live in this great city, and it’s always fun to read about the great things people are doing.
And then all of a sudden, one of those publications – Austin Woman magazine – lowered the “fascinating and accomplished” bar and featured me.
All kidding aside, I’m still pinching myself that I was given the opportunity to be interviewed for Austin Woman. The writer came over to chat with me about my background and my style vision, and then a photographer came over to shoot some images in my home. The final product is a beautiful feature, which is far too good to actually be about me.
This really is one of those thrill of a lifetime type things for me. The article is available here online or here as the free digital edition (I’m on pages 38-41). Austin Woman also named me to their Best of the Blogs list.
My office sofa even made the header of the Contents page!
Of all the images that were published, my favorite is this shot of my bedroom. Emma turned on her usual charm and the photographer loved her…so she’s in just about every shot. Ha!
If you live in the Austin area, please grab a copy of Austin Woman if you see it available around town. It’s the August 2014 issue, and Angela Beck (the women’s basketball coach at Cedar Ridge High School) is on the cover.
Thanks for letting me send out a virtual “squeee!” to the universe.
