Win a Silhouette CAMEO

by Lindsay Ballard on November 21, 2013 240 Comments

It’s Thursday night and I never post at night, y’all.  Like never ever ever.  But, I couldn’t wait any longer to spread this news.

One of you is going to win a Silhouette CAMEO!

Silhouette CAMEO giveaway via MakelyHome.com

I feel like Oprah.  “You get a car!  And you get a car!  And you get a car!”  Except it’s not a car and it’s just one of you.  And I’m not Oprah.

Silhouette CAMEO giveaway via MakelyHome.com

Anyway, I love my Silhouette craft cutter like crazy.  I have an old school Silhouette SD (which is great) and a Silhouette CAMEO (which is awesome).  I seriously use them all the time, like way more than I thought I ever would since I don’t really consider myself a crafter.  Here are links to some of the projects that I’ve put together using Silhouette products:

Embellished Side Table
Custom Painted Rug
Silhouette Backed Chair
Ice Cube Tray Earring Sorter
Anthropologie Inspired Peek-a-Boo Lamp Shade
Ribbon and Paper Bird Chandelier
Thrift Store Desk Revamped
Etched Silhouette Glass Bowl
How to Make an Advent Calendar

If you don’t already have severe CAMEO lust, then get ready.  With this thing, you can cut designs out of paper, fabric, vinyl, and probably more that I’ve never tried.  You can use any font that you have on your computer or you can download designs from the Silhouette store for under $1 each (it’s like iTunes, but cheaper).  I’ve made t-shirts, vinyl lettering, cupcake toppers, an advent calendar, an ‘etched’ glass bowl and tons of other things – even this year’s Christmas garland that I’ll soon reveal.

Okay, okay, okay.  Here’s the giveaway.  The winner will be announced on Black Friday – and there’s also a HUGE sale coming up.  HUUUGGGEE!  Now I feel like Donald Trump.

See why I never post at night?  It makes me weird.  Good luck!

I would go on a crazy crafting frenzy. I would love to create so many things. Since our fake Christmas tree bit the dust last year, I need to come up with a creative way to have a Christmas tree this year. My daughter insists that we have a tree. It’s not Christmas without the tree, right?

WOW! Just spent the last hour or so reading your blog posts! I have had some good laughs, learned lots and gotten some ideas to try! I am returning after a long hiatus due to health issues! I will just say that health wise it has been a long year! 5 surgeries of which 4 were major, life altering surgeries! Not a sex change! LOL
I would love to win a Silhouette Cameo! It would make it so much easier for me to craft since I only have 1 1/2 hands that work. (I lost most of the use of 2 fingers and my thumb due to an accident.)
I would use it to make cards, home décor, stencils for screen printing clothes and other fabrics, altered art, mixed media projects, stencils for glass etching and oh so many other ways! If I could figure out a way to have it fold clothes and do the dishes I would! LOL
Thanks for the opportunity to win this awesome machine that I have been researching since my accident. Unfortunately, medical costs have not allowed me to do much this year but a new year is starting soon and it HAS to be better than this year! Right? RIGHT! Thanks again and good luck to all who enter!

I would love to win this and would give my poor X-acto knife a break. A few Christmases ago, I bought shelf paper and cut out every letter by hand with my knife so I could use glass etching cream to create gifts for everyone. It took me about two weeks, when I could’ve done it in a night or two if I had the Silhouette Cameo. 🙂

It would open up another whole world of projects to add to the “Projects before I Die Notebook”. With the addition of the Cameo I can add another decade to the 110 years I would need to live at this point to finish everything I would love to do. This is exciting and I’m keeping my fingers crossed (which slows my progress on my current project, but it’s worth it).

For the holidays I want to use the Silhouette Cameo to make designs for my Mother in Law’s house. She has MS and lost her job years ago and I think it would be great to use the Cameo to help liven up her home and bring it to modern times with cute vinyl additions! It would be great to be able to create them by Christmas to give her a really fun holiday experience. I love how it can be used to make custom designs and fonts, we would be able to come up with decoration ideas to fit perfectly into any nook or cranny! I’m sure her grand kids will be just as addicted to it as I will be 😉

I’d use it to make vinyl labels, make beautiful embellishments for card-making and even make some t-shirts for my daughter.

I’ve heard so much about these, it would open a whole new crafting world for me and my grandkids!

I would make TONS of things with a Silhouette. I’d more than likely start with using it to make stencils for my boys room. We just moved in and I cant wait to get started designing their room décor.

What would I do with a Silhouette Cameo? Applique, applique, applique… with my crafty grand kids, among other things. Thank you so much for this opportunity, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday.
