Happy Independence Day! I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating with friends and family.
Around here, we have fingers, toes, legs, and arms crossed that the rain will hold out. My own little Firecracker, Zack, has been counting down to July 4th since March. As soon as he woke up this morning, he put on his new red, white, and blue shirt and socks. I’m going to have a very disappointed little boy on my hands if our fireworks get rained out!
How are you celebrating today?
Aimee says
Happy 4th! We will likely BBQ (if it doesn’t rain), and of course set off fireworks. It’s nice to have a lazy holiday, so we didn’t plan much. Enjoy your day!

Out in California, it’s HOT. Went to church and then walked around in the sun looking at all the vendors (secretly thinking “I can do that!”). Then off to my sisters for yummy BBQ and trampoline time! But a one year old called time out and so we came home. Hopefully he’ll wake up and we can go see the fireworks later!

My husband’s family got together for a family reunion. We ate way too much at a family farm. Played corn hole (I built the bags and the game boards thankyouverymuch), ate more, had a campfire, made s’mores, had a hayride, and one of the grandparents brought an accordion. We closed out the night singing songs to the accordion and a few impromptu polkas. Cheesy – yes! Fun – also yes!
