Through the Window Panes

by Lindsay Ballard on March 20, 2009 18 Comments

Earlier this week, my three year old son woke me up at the crack of dawn. He was ready to get up and play with his toys. I was displeased about parting with my warm bed so early in the morning, but I got up with him anyway and made myself a strong cup of coffee.

With a little caffeine in my bloodstream, I finally took the time to turn around and glance out of the kitchen window. This is what I saw…

…a beautiful Tennessee sunrise waking a foggy pasture below.

Imagine if Zack hadn’t awoken early that morning. I would have missed the beauty of a gorgeous Tennessee morning for the comfort of my warm bed and shuttered windows. I would have missed the beginning of this day that is our life.

Take the time this weekend to wake up a little early one morning to see what you can discover right outside of your window. You may be very surprised.

Visit Melissa at The Inspired Room to see the beauty others are finding in their lives.

I’ll agree that enjoying the sunrise when you are already up is a blessing. To be honest, I’d rather see the sunset. lol

Seriously, though. Beautiful picture and I’m glad you enjoyed the special moment.
